How It Works

STEP 1
Explore our scent wall of over 80 scents and select your favorites. Don’t worry if the scents go together. Choose what inspires you.
STEP 2
Select your candle vessel, body product or fragrance product you would like to make. Don’t feel limited. You can make more than one!
STEP 3
Bring your selections to the bar and our Scent Alchemist will help you create your unique scent blend and custom product(s). It’s easy.

FAQs
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy so that we can create a great experience for you.
Your confirmation has butttons to make it easy for you to change or cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your appointment. All late cancellations and no-shows will be charged a $10 fee.
We bring in scentenders based on the schedule so it is important to book and let us know if you or any in your party will be cancelling in advance of the 24 hours preceeding your party.
Beginning in May 2023, there will be a fee charged at the time of booking. This amount will be applied to your final product. In the event one person late cancels or no-shows, the fee will be forfeit.

What does it cost to make a candle?
The cost of your candle pour experience varies on which candle vessel you choose. The candle vessels range from $21.99 up to $48.99. This cost covers the entire experience including your wax, the scents you blend, the wick, etc, so there will be no surprises.
We also have flameless options like wax melts and reed diffusers as well as lifestyle products like body oil, scrubs, and room sprays that you can scent. These vary depending on the product but start at $15.99
Is there an age requirement?
The wax is poured hot so our experience is meant for adults and responsible young adults. Our candle making experiences are for ages 7+. We do ask that a guardian be available to assist the young ones during the process and handle the wax pour part of the process.
Should we tip our Scentender?
Your scentender works hard to help you on your way to becoming a chandler (candle maker) and they thrive on giving you a fun experience as well as making sure your candle looks great when you pick it up. If you had fun and liked working with your Scentender, tips are always appreciated.
We do reserve the right to add 18% gratuity to parties over 8.
Can we walk in?
Reservations are highly encouraged as we staff the bar based on the amount of reservations. But sometimes you just get a wild hair and want to create and we will do our very best to accommodate you if possible. We recommend giving the front desk of Float Alchemy a call to see if we can take more people before making your way through Murfreesboro traffic to come. That number is 615-566-1839.
Reservations are necessary for evening hours after 6pm.
If you would like a different day or time outside of regular hours, please contact us via email or phone and we will do our best to accommodate you!
When can I burn my new candles?
Once you have finished your candle, it will take 90 min to an hour to set up and allow us time to finish it and bag it up for pick up.
If that falls within our operating hours, you are welcome to pick it up same day. Or you can pick it up another day at your convenience.
We know it is hard to wait, but we do recommend waiting two or more days before you burn your candle for a great scent experience.
Can we bring a bottle of wine?
You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or bubbly. We have disposable cups available you are welcome to use or feel free to bring your own.
We also have delicious kombucha on tap! We offer samples and encourage you to give this amazing healthy drink a try while you are our guest!
